Mazda Tribute

Blast through all of California's unexpected road hazards comfortably – in the all-new 2008 Mazda Tribute. This versatile, small SUV with the surprisingly roomy interior is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension, so that handling is a cinch in real jungles and Los Angeles's concrete jungles. The Tribute has great standard features such as a premium entertainment system (to keep the kids busy on those road trips) and innovative storage, along with the latest safety features such as Roll Stability Control and Traction Control System. This small SUV will take you and your family anywhere in Southern California smoothly, though your favorite destination may just be the Mazda Tribute itself.

The redesigned Tribute has received significant changes to its styling and interior for 2008. Sierra Mazda is happy to report that the interior has been greatly improved, with much better materials.

The Mazda Tribute is offered as the four-cylinder "i" and six-cylinder "s" models, which are each broken down into three trims: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. All-wheel drive is optional on all trims. The available engines are a 2.3-liter 153-horsepower four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter 200-hp V6, both of which are coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission (except in the i Sport 2WD, which has a five-speed manual).

In addition to those standard models, a hybrid model dubbed the Tribute HEV is also available. The HEV earns fuel economy estimates in the high 20s.

One of the dynamic changes made to the Tribute in its most recent refresh was a new electric power steering system that delivers amazingly good road feel and response. Handling and cornering is kid's play, with the SUV remaining flat through corners and composed in quick transitions. The Tribute's ride quality is smooth, making this SUV a suitable choice for commuting or hauling the family around for all of Southern California.
